Large Oxidised Feather Pendant in Sterling Silver – Handcrafted Nature-Inspired Jewellery
A bold and elegant statement piece, this large oxidised sterling silver feather pendant draws inspiration from nature’s quiet beauty. With a textured and detailed finish, layered silver bails, and a softly rugged aesthetic, it’s the perfect piece for bohemian, nature-loving, or gothic styles. Designed to wear solo or paired with other pendants, as shown layered perfectly with the side-profile skull (sold separately), this pendant adds depth and presence to any collection.
🔨 How it’s made
Each pendant begins with recycled sterling silver clay, pressed into a finely detailed mould. After drying and refining, the piece is kiln-fired to create a solid silver form.
Once fired, four individual bails are added—two that hang individually and a pair that hangs from one of those, creating a stable bail that allows thicker chains to pass through without tangling or twisting. This clever arrangement also allows another pendant to be worn between them, so the two pieces sit together as one cohesive design, instead of sliding around.
After the bails are soldered in place, the pendant is sanded, oxidised using a toxic free liver of sulphur solution to deepen and darken the details, then hand-polished to bring back silver highlights. Finally, the piece is tumbled to strengthen and smooth the finish, giving a softly burnished shine.

Created in my Lancashire studio using slow, traditional techniques and eco-conscious materials. Each pendant is made to order and may vary slightly—adding to its unique character.

⚓️ Hallmarking
This pendant falls below the weight requirement for hallmarking, but is made entirely from solid 925 recycled sterling silver with full traceability. If you would prefer it hallmarked, this can be arranged for an additional £12 plus further time for processing, please message me before purchase if this is something you would like.
📦 Packaging & Ordering Multiples
All jewellery comes beautifully presented in a branded Arcane Nature box and pouch and is accompanied by tissue paper, a silver cleaning cloth, and a care card to help you keep your piece looking its best for years to come.
To reduce environmental impact, multiple purchased items may be packaged together. If you’d prefer each item to be individually wrapped, please leave a note at checkout and I’ll be happy to arrange that for you.
📮 Shipping
Free shipping within the UK and items are sent via Royal Mail 48hr, with upgrades available. Please be aware these times are estimates only and I cannot offer any guarantee on delivery times once it’s in the hands of the postal service.
🎁 Gifting and Gift Wrapping
If you are purchasing as a gift then you have the option for a free gift card to be hand written and added in along with your gift, please add details in the Handwritten Giftcard box above.
Upgrading to gift wrapping for £1.00 includes having the box that the gift is placed in being wrapped in a complimenting style paper with a ribbon around. It is then placed in the outer cardboard box with all the additional care cards, tissue paper and silver cleaning cloth as mentioned above.
If your item is being sent as a gift then please be sure to update the mailing address on checkout before you complete your order. I can hold no responsibility for items being sent to the wrong person due to an incorrect address.

PROCESSING TIME & DELIVERY INFORMATION
Thank you for supporting my small business. Once your order is placed, I will begin processing it as soon as possible. Processing times vary depending on the range and are listed below. If you’ve ordered multiple items, they will be shipped together based on the longest processing time.
While I always strive to dispatch orders quickly, please be aware that during busy periods I may need the full time listed. If there is ever a delay beyond the stated timeframe, I will email you in advance.
If you have a specific deadline or need your order urgently, please contact me before placing your order to ensure I can accommodate it.

Orders under £20.50: Free Royal Mail 2nd Class delivery
Orders over £20.50 and up to £150: Free Royal Mail 48hr Tracked delivery (upgrade options available)
Orders over £150: Free Special Delivery with insurance to cover item.
International Orders:
All international orders are sent via Royal Mail Tracked & Signed (fees apply; see individual listings for specific costs)
Customs Fees: I cannot take responsibility for any duties or import fees incurred—please check your local regulations before purchasing.
Box & Postage Note:
Only two jewellery gift boxes fit per delivery package. If you require more boxes, or if you are ordering from outside the UK or upgrading your delivery, additional postage fees may apply. If unsure, please don’t hesitate to ask.

No separate plastic packaging is added along with your order. Every purchase is thoughtfully designed to feel like a special gift—whether it's for yourself or a loved one.
Refund Policy
RETURNS & CONDITIONS
Please note that unless an item is damaged or faulty, I am not legally obliged to accept returns for personalised or custom-made items that cannot be resold. This includes the entire Sterling Ash Designs range, all sized rings, wedding bands, commissions, and other personalised items across my collections.
DAMAGED OR FAULTY ITEMS
If your parcel arrives visibly damaged, please take clear photographs BEFORE opening the packaging. Once opened, take additional photos of the item and any damage. This helps support any postal claims and ensures a swift resolution.
If you believe your item is faulty, please get in touch with detailed photographs of the issue so I can assess and advise.

NON-FAULTY RETURNS
Postage Costs:
Buyers are responsible for the cost of return postage unless the item is confirmed as faulty or damaged (as above). I strongly recommend using a tracked postal service.
Item Condition:
Returns must be unworn, in their original condition, and returned with undamaged original packaging. Any reduction in value due to wear, damage, or missing packaging will be deducted from your refund.
International Returns:
Clearly mark the package as ‘RETURNED GOODS’ to help avoid unnecessary customs fees.
Proof of Postage:
Obtain and keep a receipt or proof of postage from your Post Office.
