Description
These earrings are individually handmade with traditional silversmithing techniques with the addition of an intricate and ancient wirework technique known as filigree. This particular pair started as a pair of silver circles and then the news of the recent space flight inspired me to create something to represent the amazing journey. The silver has been oxidised and the Venetian beads show changing colours of black, purple and clear glass.
The art of filigree goes back as far as 3000BC and was used in many ancient civilisations. I am really enjoying learning and practicing some of those techniques handed down over time, whilst adding my own contemporary ideas.
It is a very detailed and time consuming process, producing such delicate and beautiful results. Tiny wires of silver and/or gold are twisted, flattened and formed into shapes which come together to make some lovely jewellery and ornamentation.
This item is completely handmade from recycled sterling silver, including the twisted fine filigree wires.

Each pair of these earrings is unique and precious and I want to be certain they arrive safely. Therefore each purchase will be gift-boxed and sent via Royal Mail “Signed For” at a flat rate of £5. I will send you tracking information for your item. There is no charge for additional items.
Refund Policy
After having spent time and care creating these earrings I really hope that you love them. If you have any issues at all with your purchase please do contact me and I will do my very best to assist. It is very important to me that you are happy with your purchase and love every pair as much as I do!
If you have any issue we cannot resolve please advise me within 14 days of receiving the item, and then return the item to me within the following 14 days.
For hygiene reasons earrings should be returned unworn. They must be in original condition with gift box packaging and in ‘re-saleable” condition. It is recommended that you return them by Royal Mail “Signed For” post as I cannot be responsible for items lost in the post.
As soon as the item is received a refund will be issued. Postage cannot be refunded unless an item is faulty.
