Description
Meet Edgar the Elephant — a characterful and practical pencil holder, handcrafted in a small batch of carefully selected exotic hardwoods in my garden workshop in Gloucestershire.
This special collection celebrates the natural beauty of four distinctive timbers: Zebrano, Walnut, African Rosewood and Purpleheart. Each piece is chosen for its unique grain, tone and character — from the bold striped pattern of Zebrano to the rich depth of Walnut and the striking colour of Purpleheart.
Edgar is designed to be both decorative and functional, holding six natural wooden colouring pencils neatly across his back. The clean, simple silhouette gives a modern feel, while the warmth and individuality of the timber ensures each piece is truly one of a kind.
Each elephant is individually shaped, sanded smooth and finished to enhance the natural grain, making it a tactile and timeless addition to a desk, shelf or creative space.
