Each round locket, approximately 1.8cm in diameter, is hinged and secured with a friction closure, featuring a finely etched design on the front.

Choose from four captivating designs: the mystical Moon Gazing Hare, the symbolic Leaping Hare, a charming Heart, or a graceful Flying Bird. Suspended on a high-quality sterling silver chain, the locket is available in your choice of 16-inch or 18-inch lengths. Each piece is authenticated with a makers mark, registered at the Sheffield Assay Office, guaranteeing its quality and provenance. A perfect heirloom piece for lovers of nature and British craft.
These flat hinged lockets with various motifs are completely handmade from sterling silver sheet, wire, tube and chain. They are made by creating an etched metal plate with the design in reverse. This is pressed into sterling silver sheet using a jewellers rolling mill. All the parts are formed, cut and finished using traditional jewellers hand tools in my studio.
My designs are created from my original ink drawings which I then scan, manipulate and transfer to metal using a variety of techniques, including heat transfer and etching and laser engraving.
There is a small amount of space inside the locket for a couple of short words, date, etc. if you would like the piece personalised, there is a small extra fee for this service.
