Fused Glass Flower or Heart Greetings Card Mothers Day Birthday Keepsake Gift

(2 customer reviews)

£7.00

A lovely little greetings card with either a detachable pretty fused flower or a shiny red heart for a keepsake gift.

The greeting card are 10cm Square and blank except for my “with love’ handwritten note.

The flower hanger is a 5cm square clear glass base with the 5 rounded petals standing slightly proud. The centre is formed from a base of green glass with precious shiny dichroic glass on top to make it extra special. I’ve added a little green to the edges round the flower for colour.

I’ve made the flowers in several different colours, all equally pretty.

The plump 5cm hearts are all red and decorated with a scatter of precious dichroic glass to make them extra special.

The flower / heart is designed to detach from the card so it can hang from its ribbon.

The greetings card has a matching plain white strong envelope.

As an alternative, if you prefer, I can send the flower or heart  in a little organza gift bag together with a white business sized gifting card blank except for my ‘With Love’ handwritten motif. All ready for you to add your own message.

I send both types in a pretty blue Pip box so it fits through the letterbox.
I include a loose bright red heart sticker in case you want to add as decoration before gifting.

You can select the type of card, hanging you want by clicking the appropriate little picture before adding to basket.

Made with and by Joy to be given with love.

They are all ready to post with postage charged for Royal Mail Tracked 48.

Please see Details below for more information.

Please note that postage is charged for each one of these in an order as if I send in the pretty Pip boxes ready for gifting I can only send them one at a time.

Description

My glass fusing kiln is only small so all my fused glass pieces are all very special,, no mass production possible. All the flowers and heart are different and all equally pretty.

Fused glass 5cm pretty 5 petal coloured flowers or plump red heart.

The flowers are cut from coloured Bullseye fusing glass which is then stacked on a square of clear glass before I add a centre of precious and expensive Dichroic glass.
Very pretty and gloriously shiny.

The hearts are cut from 2 layers of Bullseye fusing glass stacked on top of each other and then topped with a pretty decoration of precious and expensive Dichroic glass.

Very pretty and  luxuriously sparkly.

Then fired in my little kiln  to fuse all the glass together to a lovely shine and smooth the edges.  The flowers are fused slightly cooler so that the petals stand  proud. The hearts are full fused so they very smooth and shiny.

I then drill a hole in the top and thread with silver or red ribbon for hanging.

Posted out Royal Mail Tracked 48 large letter with padding to keep it safe on its journey to you.
If you are posting the greeting card then please add some padding to protect the flower or post together in the Pip box it arrived in.

I am more than happy to post direct. Please give me the gift message you want me to include on the card if you do.

My Shipping Policy

I will always do my very best to post out same or next day and I post tracked 48 large letter for small items / tracked 24 small package. I can generally post every day except Sundays and bank holidays.
I charge Royal Mail postage at cost, no additional packaging charge. I post from my local post-office which is very reliable and it is very rare indeed for my packages to go missing. They are very clearly labelled and also have my return address on the outside. I copy / paste the address you supply to make sure I don’t accidentally change it and the only change I do make is to auto change post codes to Upper Case where necessary.

My glass is always very securely packaged to try allow for posties playing football with them at the sorting office so they are well padded out inside and I use tape round the outside, where appropriate, to provide extra bouncability. I recycle packaging wherever possible.

I use some rather innovative (!) boxes for packing my smaller pieces of glass. Takeaway / microwave lidded boxes which are incredibly useful as they are air-tight so great for my storage of finished pieces and see-through so I can tell what is inside.
They also, with the addition of a small amount of bubblewrap, provide a very good protective cocoon for the glass in the post.
And an added advantage is that you can reuse the box once you have removed the glass !

Larger pieces which don't fit into my boxes are sent in see-through popper envelopes and are very well padded with bubble, cardboard and bouncy tape.

I always include a suction hook with each piece. These are as strong as I can find but it is a good idea to reseal to the glass every week or so by pressing firmly in the centre. Heavier pieces are safer hung from a permanently located hook. My glass pieces are as strong as I can make them and I do give consideration always to strength when putting them together but they are made of glass and prefer not to be dropped onto a hard floor.

Most of my packages do not go through the letter box as it is impossible to get them flat enough while protecting with enough padding. If your package has not arrived a couple of days after posting please check to see if it has been left in a secure place somewhere or check with your postie. The only packages I send by tracked 48 post in PIP boxes to go through the letter box are pieces of jewellery and small fused pieces. I do not consider the depth of the boxes, maximum 2.5cm, adequate for the padding needed to post any other pieces of my glass safely.

OVERSEAS ORDERS

I do not currently have any overseas postage set due to the existing over complex rules and regulations. I can set up overseas shipping rates when requested so if you try to order and at checkout it will not allow shipping to the country you need please contact me, let me know what it is you are trying to order and I will hopefully quickly flick a magic switch to set the correct price and allow the overseas postage to go through.

Postage Refund

I have attempted to set up my postal costs so they calculate an accurate total price even if you order more than one piece. If I find it has overcharged you then I will refund you any postal overcharge.
