Description
This handmade fused glass sunrise ornament with wooden stand was inspired by a spectacular sunrise I was lucky enough to see early one morning.
I created it in my home studio by carefully cutting individual pieces of vibrant glass in shades of red, orange, and yellow, decorating with glass stringers and frit to add texture and detail. The piece was then kiln-fired for almost 24 hours to achieve its smooth, glossy finish.
The bold sunburst design is mounted in a natural wooden stand, making it ready to display on a windowsill, mantelpiece, or shelf. When sunlight passes through the glass, it brings the colours to life, adding a warm, uplifting glow to any room.
It comes gift-wrapped in white tissue paper, tied with a purple ribbon, and can be sent directly to someone special with a handwritten note. This makes it a perfect choice for a housewarming, birthday, anniversary, or “just because” gift for anyone who loves handmade art and colourful home décor.
Each piece is unique due to the handmade process, ensuring that no two are ever exactly the same.
