Monolithe Wooden Mantle Clock European Walnut Resin Seam

A more design-led direction in my work.

The Monolithe clocks explore a simpler, more solid form — allowing the timber, proportion, and balance of each piece to take the lead.

Each clock is handcrafted from European walnut, with a single resin seam running through the body. Unlike many of my previous pieces, the resin has been intentionally left with a natural, matte finish rather than polished to a high gloss. This gives it a more raw, understated feel — almost like metal drawn from the ground — creating a quiet contrast against the warmth and grain of the walnut.

The form is kept clean and minimal. A subtle 5–7 degree angled base gives each clock a slight forward presence, helping it sit comfortably on a shelf, mantle or desk without feeling flat or static.

Each piece is individually made and finished by hand using Odie’s Oil, enhancing the natural character of the timber while maintaining a soft, tactile finish.
