Adapted from a photo showing computer reconstructed images of faded Maya murals at Bonampak Mexico as illustrated in National Geographic Feb. 1995. Chaan Muan Bonampak’s ruler is seen here gripping the hair of his enemy – A Maya sign of defeat.
An original work of art measuring 110cms x 52cms.
Appliqued in silks,fake fur and other materials in a stunning range of jades and turquoises this is a striking piece. The lower half represents the murals as they were originally discovered covered in flaking patches of concrete.
This piece comes ready to hang with a complimentary fringe and hanging support.
