Handcrafted from beautifully figured spalted beech, this Planet Earth wall clock pairs natural timber with deep blue resin to create a striking interpretation of the world’s continents and oceans.

The unique spalting within the beech forms organic patterns across the land masses, ensuring no two pieces will ever look the same. The rich resin tones bring contrast and depth, creating a bold yet balanced composition.

Measuring 315mm in diameter, the clock is designed not only as a timepiece but as functional wall art.

An integrated LED backlight is discreetly housed within the rear offset mount, producing a soft ambient halo around the edge when illuminated. The lighting enhances the piece in the evening, giving it quiet presence without overpowering a room.

Each stage — from shaping the continents and pouring the resin to routing the rear housing and installing the lighting — has been completed by hand in my Gloucestershire workshop.
