Description
This shampoo bar is:
- Soap-free & pH Balanced
- Made with naturally derived ingredients
- Vegan & Cruelty-free
- Free from SLS
- Free from silicones, parabens, & synthetic fragrance
- Mild & bubbly and lightly scented with pure essential oils.
It is NOT soap, but a pH balanced shampoo bar therefore no acidic rinse or transition period is required as you would get with soap-based shampoo bars.
How to use –
Wet your hair in warm water.
Either stroke your bar gently over your scalp and on the length of your hair. Gently massage into a lovely lather and then rinse well with warm water.
You will soon learn how much/little you need to use – don’t go crazy – it lathers extremely well!
Alternatively, especially if you have short hair, you can rub the bar on your hands to generate lather in your hands and then gently rub your hands onto your hair. Rinse as above.
A second wash isn’t generally required but I know this is a matter of personal opinion.
Minimum weight 95 grams – this bar will last 70-90 washes depending on the length of your hair.
It is important to keep your bars thoroughly dry between usage.
Shampoo Bars – what are they and do they work…
We’ve all heard of them, they really are nothing to be afraid of – but do they actually work?
The simple answer is yes!
A shampoo bar is basically a bottle of shampoo without the plastic bottle and without the water. However they are water activated. So when swiping a bar across your wet hair you get a lovely gentle lather.
My shampoo bars do not contain SLS – this is a harsh surfactant which is cheap to source and used in many shampoo brands, but unlike the coconut derived surfactants I use, it is not coated with a wax like substance and as such it can penetrate your skin and scalp and can cause itching and tightness.
My shampoo bars also contain some super conditioning ingredients such as Panthenol and Mango Butter. You want a bar that contains some conditioning agents so you don’t have to use a ton of conditioner afterwards but not too much so as to weigh the hair down.
After just one use you will find your hair soft, super shiny, and conditioned. On fine hair I would recommend you use a conditioner on the ends of the hair, and leave the roots alone to prolong the shine.
You may find that if you usually wash your hair ever day you may end up being able to go a little longer. It is certainly my own experience and that of quite a few of my already converted and loyal customers.
