Bring the soothing beauty of the seaside into your home with this stunning handmade textile artwork, thoughtfully designed to capture the magic of the ocean meeting the shore.

This large framed embroidery of shells and pebbles washed up by the shoreline is a mixed media textile piece with a variety of techniques to create lots of texture. The layers of texture begin with a watercolour and acrylic wash on calico fabric. Then, free motion embroidery creates depth and movement. Hand embroidery to depict the seafoam and the shells and finally, I added some beads and sequins for some extra sparkle.
This hand crafted frame is made using ash wood with a lime wax finish. It measures 45 x 47 cm and is ready to hang on your wall.
