These beautiful silver limpet shell earrings have been recreated from intricate little limpet shells found on the shores of Yellow Craigs and Tyninghame beaches on Scotlands stunning East Lothian coast. Using a silicon moulding compound I have been able to capture the delicate textures nature has created allowing me to then recreate the tiny shells in pure silver.

Silver Scottish Limpet Earrings by The Ticketyboo Coo

Handmade from pure silver* with sterling silver ear posts and scrolls. The whole limpet was found on the shores of Yellowcraigs and the window limpet found at Tyninghame, both beautiful beaches on Scotlands East Lothian coast.

Using a silicon moulding compound I am able to capture the delicate textures nature has created allowing me to then create the silver earrings using pure silver.

DIMENSIONS:

MATERIALS:

Made from *fine silver with sterling silver ear posts and scrolls

*fine or pure silver as its also known is made from microscopic particles of pure silver (much of which is recycled) embedded in an organic binder. It can be rolled, moulded, shaped, textured and stamped before drying and then firing. During firing, the binder burns away, and the result is a beautiful piece of fine silver which is 99.9% pure and, unlike sterling silver which is 92.5%, it will remain super shiny with only a quick polish required now and again.

PACKAGING & SHIPPING:
As standard all earrings are beautifully presented on a Ticketyboo Coo earring card, safely enclosed in a grey cotton gift bag.

If you would like to upgrade the packaging to a ticketyboo coo gift box tied with a ribbon, you can do so by selecting the gift packaging upgrade option.

Regardless of the packaging option that you choose you can be assured your item will be beautifully presented and delivered to you in a safe and efficient manner.

Shipping within the United Kingdom is included and purchases will be sent via Royal Mail’s Tracked 48 service. Handmade with love from start to finish. Everything is handmade by me at my home studio in Edinburgh. Using both traditional and modern techniques, only the highest quality materials and a little bit of love. I’m a firm believer in anything is possible and love nothing better than sitting at my bench without a plan to see what I can make.

It isn’t possible to detect the precious metal content of a piece of jewellery by sight or touch. Therefore, if it’s described as being made of or containing precious metals and weighs above 7.78g for silver and 1g for gold then, it is a legal requirement for it to be hallmarked as such by an Assay Office. I’m registered with the Edinburgh Assay Office and will always ensure that my work is hallmarked according to the necessary UK regulations.

Refund Policy

Having happy customers is one of the things I love most about my job. If there are any issues or concerns with your purchase, I am more than happy to discuss and accept returns. Please contact me via email (theticketyboocoo@gmail.com) within 7 days of receiving your order and return any items to me within 14 days.

Please return all items in fully a re-saleable condition, i.e. unworn and unaltered and in the original packaging. As soon as the returned item is received a refund will be issued. Shipping costs cannot be refunded unless an item is faulty.
