Description
This gemstone necklace features a double‑petal silver flower pendant, etched with a hand‑drawn pattern and finished with a soft satin polish. At its centre sits a sparkling lab‑grown ruby, adding a vivid focal point. The pendant is suspended from a hand‑knotted silk strand of A+ grade spinel beads in round and coin shapes, chosen for their natural brilliance and rich colour. Spinel, a magnesium aluminium oxide, forms in the cubic crystal system and has historically been mistaken for ruby and sapphire—many famous ‘rubies’, including the Black Prince’s Ruby, are in fact spinel. Naturally occurring in shades of red, pink, blue, violet and black, spinel is prized for its durability, clarity and stable colour. This necklace measures 55cm and weighs 11.7g, finished with a handmade textured hook clasp. A refined botanical piece with a glittering backdrop.
