Description
My stained glass Tiffany style, copper foil foxglove suncatcher panels are my unique design, all made by hand in my glass workshop in North Wales.
Each piece starts with tracing the design onto glass, which is then scored and broken (this is how glass is ‘cut’). Any sharp edges are smoothed with a grinder, then each piece is carefully wrapped in copper foil then assembled; pinned in place whilst soldered. All my edges are completed with a full rounded beaded for strength and longevity – ensuring the highest quality finish. A small wire ring is then added before a final clean, polish and wax. A clear nylon wire is used, as when hung these are hardly noticeable so it doesn’t detract from the beautiful piece itself – it almost looks like they’re floating.
This unique piece of artwork is approximately 20cm high x 8.5cm wide
Your order will come with a suction cup for hanging.
Although the suction cups are of high quality, I recommend checking them every few weeks and removing any air that may weaken the suction bond to the window (by pushing out any air that has gotten in).
Materials;
Glass, solder, copper foil, tinned copper wire.
Glass Characteristics;
No two pieces are ever exactly alike as every sheet of glass has its own unique characteristic when it is produced; be that in it’s wispy lines, bubbles and other textures. As such please be aware that any piece you order from me will always have slight variation from the example photographs. Before sending out your order I will send you picture(s) of your piece to ensure you are entirely happy with it. Please bear in mind that glass colour changes greatly depending how much light, along with the quality of that light, shining through it – every piece can look very different as the light changes throughout the day. I always try to ensure that my photographs capture a true likeness of the glass colour.
