Description
This sterling silver organic cast ring with barnacle texture is made from recycled sterling silver, making it a sustainable and eco-friendly choice. Its one-of-a-kind design makes it a meaningful and special gift, especially for those who love exploring the beach and rocky shorelines.
Inspired by the rugged beauty of my local beach in West Cornwall—where I often walk with my dog, Jess—this ring captures the intricate details of barnacles, creating a beautifully tactile piece that feels just like the real thing.
Each ring is hand-carved in wax, with the barnacle texture carefully added before being cast in recycled sterling silver using the ancient lost wax casting method. During this process, the original wax model is lost, ensuring that every ring is completely unique to its wearer.
Every ring is hallmarked with Arvor & Mor’s distinctive maker’s mark at the London Assay Office. With its naturally organic shape, the ring varies slightly in width, measuring approximately 9mm at its widest point and weighing around 8-9g.
Barnacles
I love barnacles so I thought I’d share a fun description of barnacles written by Richard King for the National Maritime Historical Society Barnacles – National Maritime Historical Society (seahistory.org)
“If you want to be a barnacle, you’ve got to turn upside down and catch food with your feet. Born from an egg, you float around for a while as plankton, then you need to decide where to spend the rest of your life. You are fragile and squishy, so you need to build yourself a shell so you don’t get smushed or eaten. You’ll still live in water, at least most of the time, but to keep from drifting all over the place you’ve got to attach to something with a powerful, waterproof glue”.

Shipping Policy
All Arvor & Mor jewellery that is held in stock ready for dispatch is usually sent out within three working days. For all made-to-order and bespoke jewellery, please refer to individual lead times under the description on the product page.
I will always keep you informed of the progress of your order especially if there is likely to be any delay. You will be emailed when your jewellery is dispatched, but please do contact me if you would like more information on current dispatch times.

Channel Island parcels require a customs form to be attached. Customers are responsible for all duties and customs charges.

If you live locally (I’m in Breage, Helston) and would like to pickup your order please purchase your order and pay for it online and I will email you to arrange a suitable time to pick it up when it's ready.
Refund Policy
I hope you love your jewellery. I take every possible care to ensure that it arrives safely in your hands. However, if you change your mind within 30 days, or it arrives damaged, I’m happy to arrange a refund or exchange.
Please do however note the following:
- You must contact me within 30 days of purchase to arrange a return
- Refunds will be processed within 7 working days of the return of the jewellery using the same method as you used to pay for your order
- Return postage costs will only be refunded if the item was - faulty, damaged or the incorrect item was sent
- Please remember to get proof of posting and be sure to use a delivery option that covers jewellery in transit, such Royal Mail Special Delivery. Any other method is at your own risk
- You are responsible for the care of your jewellery until it arrives back with me. This includes while the jewellery is in transit back to me
- Bespoke or made to order items are not eligible for refund or exchange unless damaged
- For hygiene reasons earrings are not eligible for return unless faulty
- No refunds can be given for gift certificates
- Please return your jewellery in its new & unworn condition and in its original, undamaged box
- Exchanges (unless due to a fault or damage) will incur additional postage charges
