Yellow Periwinkle Jewellery Set – Whalsay, Shetland

This handcrafted jewellery set features natural yellow periwinkle shells gathered from the shores of Whalsay, a small island off the east coast of Shetland where I grew up.

Each shell is carefully selected and set in clear resin, preserving its soft golden tones and delicate markings forever.

The pendant and matching earrings are individually handmade, making every set completely unique. The smooth resin domes highlight the natural beauty of the shells while offering a timeless, wearable connection to the Shetland coastline.

Inspired by slow shoreline walks and island light, this set is a subtle yet striking reminder of the sea. Perfect for those who love meaningful jewellery, island stories, and natural materials.

Description

Yellow Shell Jewellery set – matching Studs, Brooch, Pendant.

As a keen beach comber I love to collect and preserve shells and seaweed I find from around The Shetland Islands, Scotland. This collection is extra special as the yellow & orange periwinkle shell used was collected from the tiny island I grew up on – Whalsay. I use the best quality crystal clear epoxy resin to set my tiny shells into.

I have 3 designs to choose from. Each set has a pair of studs ( sterling silver back), pendant (adjustable cord 18-20 inch) and a brooch.

Handpicked beach finds collected from beauty spots around Shetlands coast, captured in clear resin for you to treasure. Enjoy a wearable piece of The Shetland Islands, Scotland.
