This 20 cm circular resin artwork captures a traditional fishing boat resting against the wide horizon of sea and sky. Deep ocean blues blend into softer coastal tones as gentle waves roll towards the shore, with subtle metallic highlights catching the light like reflections on water. The stylised boat adds a strong focal point, symbolising Shetland’s deep connection to the sea and its fishing heritage.
Created in layered resin, the piece has a beautiful sense of depth and movement, drawing the eye across the surface as the light changes. The round format echoes the rhythm of tides and cycles of island life, making it both striking and calming to view.
Handcrafted with care, this artwork is a one-of-a-kind piece inspired by Shetland’s coastline and maritime culture.
