Pure silver clay can be shaped and molded to create silver pieces of jewellery by hand. The clay itself is made from tiny particles of pure silver mixed with a binder, making it soft and malleable like regular clay.
Once the design is complete, the clay is fired in a kiln or with a torch, burning away the binder and leaving behind solid silver. The result is high-quality, fine silver jewellery that has a distinctive handmade look, often with natural textures. Because silver clay is so versatile, each piece can feel truly one-of-a-kind, with organic shapes, subtle imprints, or even embedded gemstones for a personalised look.
About Hallmarking & Fine Silver
All my handcrafted fine silver jewellery is made with high-quality silver clay. In line with UK hallmarking laws, silver items weighing 7.78g or more are officially hallmarked by an Assay Office to certify their purity. Pieces under this weight are not legally required to be hallmarked, they are still made with the same high-quality fine silver.
This keeps my jewellery affordable while maintaining authenticity and craftsmanship. If you’d like a hallmark on a lighter piece, feel free to reach out for a custom request.
