This captivating underwater resin painting reveals a hidden world beneath the surface, where shafts of light filter down through clear blue water and illuminate swaying seaweed and shoals of fish. Layered resin creates a strong sense of depth, drawing the viewer into the scene and giving the impression of looking through water rather than at a flat surface.
Soft turquoise and deep ocean blues blend seamlessly with greens and subtle coral tones, while delicate details – drifting fish, textured seaweed and the suggestion of movement in the water – bring the scene to life. The glossy resin finish enhances the luminosity of the colours, allowing them to shift gently with the light.
Inspired by the rich marine environment around Shetland, this artwork offers a calm, contemplative glimpse into the underwater world and makes a striking statement piece for coastal or contemporary interiors.
