This handcrafted sterling silver raven skull ring is a striking piece inspired by the natural beauty and mystique of corvids, particularly ravens. Representing freedom, wisdom, and the delicate balance of life, it’s a powerful symbol of nature and spirituality.
In Norse mythology, the raven is deeply tied to Odin, the All-Father, who is accompanied by his two loyal ravens, Huginn (“thought”) and Muninn (“memory”). These birds traverse the realms, offering Odin wisdom and insight. Across Celtic traditions in Wales, Ireland, and Scotland, ravens have also been revered for their intelligence and connection to the divine, often symbolizing prophecy and transformation.
This memento mori ring reflects the elegance and mystery of the raven, blending elements from my Natural World and Supernatural Realms collections. Carefully handcrafted in small batches, this piece offers a unique way to connect with nature’s beauty and ancient mythology.
🔨 How it’s made
The ring begins with the shank, carefully crafted to your requested size. The skull and feather are then formed separately using silver clay pressed into molds, dried, and baked in a kiln to transform them into 950 sterling silver. Once ready, the skull and feather are soldered onto the shank. To create a textured depth and organic feel to the design, I fuse finely ground silver frit into the gaps between the skull and feather. The lower sides and bottom of the shank are left smooth for a comfortable fit.
After shaping, filing, and sanding, I then apply a non-toxic liver of sulphur and lightly polish off the high points and leave the black in the depths. Then it goes into the tumbling machine to harden the metal ready for wearing and to give that lustrous polished look while leaving the depths darkened.

Each piece is handcrafted, so while I aim for consistency, small differences make every ring truly one of a kind.

- The skull sits approximately 6 mm deep off the finger.

This ring has been fully hallmarked at the Birmingham Assay Office. (By law, all silver jewellery over 7.78g sold in the UK must be hallmarked.)
📦 Packaging & Ordering Multiples
All jewellery comes beautifully presented in a branded Arcane Nature box and soft pouch and accompanied by tissue paper, silver cleaning cloth, and a care card to help you keep your piece looking its best for years to come.
To reduce environmental impact, multiple purchased items may be packaged together. If you’d prefer each item to be individually boxed please leave a note at checkout and I’ll be happy to arrange that for you.

Free shipping within the UK and items are sent via Royal Mail Tracked 48hr, with upgrades available. Please be aware these times are estimates only and I cannot offer any guarantee on delivery times once it’s in the hands of the postal service.
🎁 Gifting and Gift Wrapping
If you are purchasing as a gift then you have the option for a free gift card to be hand written and added in along with it, please add details in the Handwritten Giftcard box above.
Upgrading to gift wrapping? This includes having the box or pouch that the gift is placed in being wrapped in a complimenting style paper with a ribbon around. It is then placed in the outer cardboard box with all the additional care cards, tissue paper and silver cleaning cloth as mentioned above.

PROCESSING TIME & DELIVERY INFORMATION
Thank you for supporting my small business. Once your order is placed, I will begin processing it as soon as possible. Processing times vary depending on the range and are listed below. If you’ve ordered multiple items, they will be shipped together based on the longest processing time.
While I always strive to dispatch orders quickly, please be aware that during busy periods I may need the full time listed. If there is ever a delay beyond the stated timeframe, I will email you in advance.

Box & Postage Note:
Only two jewellery gift boxes fit per delivery package. If you require more boxes, or if you are ordering from outside the UK or upgrading your delivery, additional postage fees may apply. If unsure, please don’t hesitate to ask.

Refund Policy
RETURNS & CONDITIONS
Please note that unless an item is damaged or faulty, I am not legally obliged to accept returns for personalised or custom-made items that cannot be resold. This includes the entire Sterling Ash Designs range, all sized rings, wedding bands, commissions, and other personalised items across my collections.
DAMAGED OR FAULTY ITEMS
If your parcel arrives visibly damaged, please take clear photographs BEFORE opening the packaging. Once opened, take additional photos of the item and any damage. This helps support any postal claims and ensures a swift resolution.
If you believe your item is faulty, please get in touch with detailed photographs of the issue so I can assess and advise.

NON-FAULTY RETURNS
Postage Costs:
Buyers are responsible for the cost of return postage unless the item is confirmed as faulty or damaged (as above). I strongly recommend using a tracked postal service.
Item Condition:
Returns must be unworn, in their original condition, and returned with undamaged original packaging. Any reduction in value due to wear, damage, or missing packaging will be deducted from your refund.
International Returns:
Clearly mark the package as ‘RETURNED GOODS’ to help avoid unnecessary customs fees.
Proof of Postage:
Obtain and keep a receipt or proof of postage from your Post Office.
