I have been working with glass all my life and I love all the different textures, colours and patterns found in glass, all of which I use to create unique pieces of glass art.
Here you will find contemporary stained glass home decor made using the traditional Tiffany technique of copper foil wrapped pieces of authentic coloured stained glass. Each piece of glass is individually cut by hand, shaped, wrapped in copper foil, then soldered (using 60/40 lead solder) together. Traditional patina is added, before a final wax polish is applied.
I also make contemporary, fused glass pieces by hand using a combination of coloured Bullseye COE 90 glass, which is fired for at least 24 hours in my studio kiln. I love opening the kiln after firing to discover what treasures have been created.
