Hi, I’m Lynn, owner and creator behind Copper Magpie Designs which is dedicated to my two feisty daughters. I take the best quality simple materials and turn them into beautiful, unusual statement jewellery to be worn or gifted to friends and family.

I work primarily with epoxy resin which is an amazing material to work with, it is durable, lightweight, non-toxic, VOC free, vegan friendly, a component is made using recycled material from the oil industry otherwise destined for landfill and is carbon neutral.

My earrings are super lightweight, durable, hypoallergenic and are so comfortable to wear as well as making you feel amazing!! I’ve had many comments from happy customers saying so! I select designs that speak to me, make me feel joy looking at them and are shapes I would wear myself, if not they don’t make the cut!

Working with epoxy resin can be a slow process of many stages and can take up to two weeks depending on the design (and time available- the joys of children!), for a standard piece it can involve, careful measurement, mixing, addition of colours/pigments/inks/glitters, pouring, curing, demoulding, trimming and/or sanding, (which then requires washing and drying) and inspection followed by assembly, further inspection and then carding followed by photography and finally they make it to The British Craft House! For more complicated pieces there can be painting (sometimes many coats of paint!) and a top coat applied (which can be either epoxy resin or UV resin) prior to assembly.
I had found that a lot of the jewellery I had was quite heavy or uncomfortable to wear and I was looking for unusual pieces and I wasn’t able to find exactly what I was looking for, so I decided to make it myself and that’s how I found resin jewellery!

All earrings are packaged in a sealed compostable plastic-free display or recylcable glassine bag, carefully packaged with tissue paper, with a small thank-you gift with every purchase. A packing slip is included, if the purchase is intended to be a gift, an Etsy gift message is included so it can be wrapped/sent directly to the customer.
