Colourful illustrated jewellery

Hi I’m Julie and welcome to Ella von Belle Design. I’m an independent designer/maker based in beautiful Dorset.

I’ve combined my love of illustration and jewellery making to create unique designs with aluminium, sterling silver and gemstones. My work mainly features images inspired by the beauty of the natural world, it’s flora and fauna, and abstracted graphics.

To arrive at this point it was quite a journey for me. I studied Graphic Art at college but always enjoyed pursuing other creative disciplines in my spare time. A number of years ago I found jewellery making and completely fell in love with it. I experimented for some time with silver smithing and metalwork when I had the idea to combine my passion for illustration with jewellery design. To be able to marry both genres together to create truly unique pieces was exactly what I was looking for. After some research I discovered that images and colour could be transferred to aluminium using some wonderful techniques. With a little trial and error, I’ve now honed these skills and use them to create the majority of my designs.

I will soon be extending my product range to include homeware and greeting cards.
