I’m Kate, owner of KM Glassworks. I work from my home studio here in the North East of England and can honestly say I LOVE my business, my customers and creating beautiful things! I’m located in a perfect little corner of the world just outside Newcastle upon Tyne. I am lucky enough to have beautiful beaches on my doorstep, breath-taking countryside only minutes away, the best football team and of course the friendliest people on the planet… the Geordies!!
I’ve been working with glass for over 5 years now and have turned a passion in to a full time business. I run workshops, attend markets and events across the North East and I’m lucky enough to stock my work in some gorgeous independent shops!
All glass is handcut, melted in a kiln over 850°C using a range of glass fusing techniques. Once cooled the glass is then hand painted to create unique pieces of art.
