Vendor Biography
I started Northumberland Seaglass in November 2020 during a country wide lockdown. My daily walks by the beach kept me sane during this strange time.
I grew up in a mountain region with at least a 7 hour drive to the nearest coastline. My whole life I have always been drawn to the coast. Moving to the North East of England has fulfilled this longing for me.
During my beach walks I always loved picking up pebbles, shells, driftwood and also sea glass. I started learning about the rich history of sea glass and it inspired me to start making art pieces with it.
Inspired by the Northumbrian coast, my work is guided by respect for nature, thoughtful simplicity, careful craftsmanship, personal connection, and honest local sourcing.
