Vendor Biography
Hi All, my name is Diane ( Di ) and you may have known me previously as Adien Crafts, which I ran for 15 years selling all sorts of crafts. Retirement age and shoulder problems, the bane of many Crafters, slowed me down and I decided to pause Adien Crafts and concentrate on raising some funds for The Macular Society in the UK. This took away the pressure of having to make items continually to fulfill orders and meant I could continue to enjoy creating at my own pace and sell the items for the charity.
Why this charity? Well I sadly lost my lovely Mum Pamela, or Pam in 2025. Mum suffered with Macular Degeneration for many years and towards the end of her life it impacted her daily life a great deal so that she had very little sight remaining. The Macular Society raises awareness of this debilitating disease and is raising funds for research, so I decided to do what I can in my small way as a lasting tribute to our lovely Mum.
Any sales that are made are paid in full to the charity via a Tribute Page on muchloved , less the cost of sales fees to the payment provider Stripe.
As for me personally, I have crafted my whole life and dabble in lots of crafts so you may see all sorts appearing over time. To start with though I will be concentrating on sewing which is my first love. I like to make the buying experience a happy event for my customers and hope that I make buying handmade a very personal experience, something the ‘big boys’ can’t offer.
