Ridgeback Pottery

Vendor Biography

Hello!

.

I started pottery in 2023, going along to a introductory course with a friend as a fun way to spend time together – and I was hooked! I love the feeling of getting my hands in cool clay and shaping it into whatever shapes happen, whether it’s working at the wheel or hand building.

After spending a year practising in my conservatory I was lucky enough to install a purpose-build log cabin in my garden where I now make a variety of pieces, from decorative gifts to practical homewares. I also make specially commissioned pieces so if you have something specific in mind, do get in touch!

Every piece is designed and made by me taking inspiration from nature, especially the ocean.

And why ‘Ridgeback’ Pottery? Because of my hound companions of course! Poppy (mum) and Bounty, our own home-grown pup born in 2020. These two are our third and fourth Ridgebacks so it’s safe to say that we love them.
